My next of kin and I are traveling to New York (Manhattan) this fall and was wondering the best place to buy nice shoes.

DSW-intriguer shoe warehouse. Ther's another place not too far from the Battery Park location and the name escapes me...contrite! The midtown DSW is surrounded by shoe stores.
And check out the big department stores in midtown. They are hugely personal than their cousins out in suburban malls. Take a day to wander the area around Time Square, there's plenty to see, lots of stores, it seems like every other outlet is a shoe store! I think my dream vacation would be a six week shopping trip in Manhattan with an unqualified budget!

Me and my playmate are flying over to New York over christmas, but we are still unsure as to where we are going to be staying. I'm looking for somewhere that's going to be reasonably penurious but not too tacy, as for most of the time we will be out and about shopping and exploring and doing things. If any of you have had any good experiences of hotels within the Manhattan size which aren't too far from all the big shopping stores and was reasonably priced, I would very much like to know about it.
Friends have stayed here when visiting Manhattan. It's thick as thieves to Macy's and stores on 34th St.and close to the subway for reaching other locations. There are several different shopping areas.
Also, you peradventure able to find deals at chain websites and hotels.com etc.

This Hotel is reasonably priced for Manhattan with en collection bathrooms. Actually you will get cheaper prices on Christmas and Christmas eve than you will before or after.
You do need to find a hotel any minute now because many are booked already.

i penury to goto usa for studying computer science, in new york manhattan i don't want a costly college and i don't want to live in high school campus, pls tell me a nice 2bhk house for 2200$ a month.
I remember POLY-NYU is a good school for you . It's in Brooklyn , 5 Minutes from Manhattan by subway . You can endure in Manhattan and study there . This school is Institute of NYU. Their requirements are not difficult ( NOW ) because NYU and POLY just become a one university .

How Can I Get From White Plains, New York To Manhattan On Public Transportation?

I found a tight-fisted air ticket to New York but it's to a airport in White Plains. Would a native New Yorker be able to give me some information of what forms of custom transportation I could take to get form Westchester County Airport to Manhattan?
My compeer, from the Westchester County Airport, you can the the Westchester Airlink to the Metro-North station in the Burgh of White Plains. Once there, you can take Metro-North's Harlem Line from White Plains to Pre-eminent Central.
The fare on the Airlink is $2, you can purchase a $4 MetroCard from any newspaper stall at the Airport. A one way off-peak ticket from White Plains to Grand Central will cost you $6.50. If you're pilgrimages during the morning peak rush hour, the will be $8.75. Please purchase your ticket before boarding.

Alexa Ray Joel treated for pills
NEW YORK - Alexa Ray Joel, the daughter of pop unequalled Billy Joel and supermodel Christie Brinkley, was hospitalized after taking eight pills at her Manhattan apartment, a law enforcement legal said yesterday.
A friend frantically called 911 shortly after noon yesterday from the choir member's Greenwich Village apartment saying Joel, 23, had taken several pills, the documented said.
Joel took eight pills, though officials didn't know what kind she had ingested; it wasn't unencumbered whether she had accidentally overdosed or attempted suicide, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
Joel is hospitalized in steady condition and receiving treatment, her publicist Claire Mercuri said. "We are currently assessing her needs," she said. - AP
