FAO Schwartz- Massive!!!!!! FAMOUS! Ungodly busy but you HAVE to go there.
Gepetto's Toy Box- West Village, Unique Toys.
Alphaville- In SoHo, Collector's (mostly) 40's-70's toys.
West Side Kids- Upper West Side. Near the Museum of Unadorned History. Smaller, "Quaint" Store.
World of Disney- Quite that, Disney stuff.
Toys R Us- Times Square, It's a Giant, and overcrowded, same as anywhere else. LOL

Stop in at Serendipity 3 located at 225 E. 60th after your shopping and have some Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, It's the wealthiest EVER!!!!! They also have other food, and giant drugstore sundaes. The rich and famous often frequent there.

Toys In Manhattan?

Where can I find toys in manhattan, except from Toys R Us where I don't assume there is a lot of variety even in the big one at Times Square. Any suggestions?

There are tons of specialty toy stores in Manhattan, but they're very up-market and usually sell toys you wouldn't find in run-of-the-mill stores. FAO Schwarz is one, of course. There's a Build a Bear on 5th Avenue as well.

Jack's Earth has some toys--they're all over the city; I like the one in Herald Square.

There are also smaller specialty stores like Kidding Around. It's an astonishing store near Union Square, but again, you're not going to find run-of-the-mill toys there.

Can anyone make attractive a good toy from Manhattan Toy? My 5 month old baby has the ziggles toy http://store.manhattantoy.com/dr/v2/ec_M AIN.Master and he loves it. This label makes so many fun toys for babies, I don’t know what to choose.

The Whoozit. My infant LOVES this. He is 7 months old and he is still not sick of it. He's had it for two months. It has so much for him to do. A mirror, and different sounds. I'm not sure which largeness he has, the baby size or regular..but it's so worth getting.
