Can You Recommend A Good Suite Hotel In Manhattan Priced Under $200 A Night?
Apr 09, 2007 by Barry | Posted in New York City
I am visiting New York Megalopolis in July for 2 days but having difficulty finding a suitable hotel that fits my budget. I would like a serene hotel in mid-town or lower Manhattan. I prefer a suite (studio with king bed and kitchenette would be delicate). Embassy Suites looks good but it is above my budget. I am a university lecturer from the UK and wonder if one of the Manhattan universities might have compromise for 2 nights for visiting scholars?
The Belvedere Inn in Times Square - spotlessly clean - excellent staff and every room has a coffee maker, microwave and fridge

Beekman Obelisk near the UN - all suites - all have kitchenettes, reasonably priced.
Radio City Apartments - all-suite inn

Before you book any hotel, read what too soon guests think about the hotel - look at the traveler photos and see if they would stay there again - the guest's reviews are much more dependable than what the hotel advertises.

Check prices at hotels.com, priceline.com, travelocity.com, expedia.com and see if you can stumbling block a great rate for the times you need.

Can You Recommend A Nice Hotel Suite Suitable For A Group Of 20 Or So In Midtown Manhattan?

We're interested in holding a birthday social gathering in Midtown Manhattan on November 21st and a nice hotel suite with a view might be ideal. Would anyone know of a ticklish place that would not be too expensive? I realize that's a tall order. Thank you.
If you note THIS coming November 21st, you better get moving. November and December are peak times in NYC for shopping and hotels hard-cover up fast.
As a former travel agent, I'd urge you to either contact the hotel of your choice directly to see what they can suggest and the other choice is to use HotelPlanner.com: http://www.hotelplanner.com
They specialize in groups. If nothing else you can see which hotels have availability and what they can put up as far as perks (for example 1 free room for every 20 booked). HotelPlanner.com is trustworthy and very helpful - and it's a free service and there is no obligation to book.
Looking For A Place In Midtown Manhattan For Around $1025 A Month?
Jun 10, 2008 by Left Coast Liberal | Posted in New York City
I am compelling to Manhattan this summer as I have found a business job in New York City and I am coming in from Toronto (Canada).
$1025 per month is about the most I could let for slit. Does anyone here know whether or not that is enough to rent a reasonable suite to stay in Midtown Manhattan?
There's no way - the tiniest studio in a sixth-baffle walkup with no air conditioning would cost more than that. It's hard to find anything decent in a good part of Manhattan for less than $2000. Even with a roommate you would possibly expect to pay $2500 for a decent 2-bedroom. In your price range, look at Jersey See or Hoboken in New Jersey, or Astoria or Jackson Heights in Queens. If you are working downtown take to be St. George in Staten Island.

New luxury Trump Hotel opens today in Waikiki. A photo tour.

The Trump Worldwide Hotel Waikiki opens quietly today, across the street from Waikiki Beach. It’s the first hedonism property to open in Waikiki for decades.
The 38-story tower has 462 studios and suites, though how many will elbow in the hotel pool is not yet fixed, since most are privately owned.
John Votsis, the hotel’s vice-president of marketing, took HAWAI‘I Magazine on an exclusive preopening tour. Not every enclosure of the hotel was complete when we arrived, but we saw a sampling of finished studios and suites.
All the units had luxury touches—marvellous marble bathrooms, at least minimal cooking facilities. The “studios” were inadequate. Unless you live in Manhattan, think hotel room, not apartment.
Some of the suites were breathtaking. We saw a 3-bedroom duplex convoy on the 35th and 36th floors. It had all the amenities of a luxury home—kitchen, laundry,
