Where Can I Find Inexpensive Lodging For ~10 Adults In NYC (Manhattan) For The Weekend Of Aug1st?
Jun 30, 2008 by M K | Posted in New York City
Kinfolk and friends coming in from multiple states, staying Thu - Sun. Would like to keep the price at or below $150/yourself for the whole stay. We will be sightseeing around the city, but the primary event is Friday night on Broadway. Any dope or links to recommended lodging would be appreciated. Thanks!
There is a Trait or Days Inn just a short PATH train ride away in Jersey Borough on Journal Square. It's a little sketchy, but no more dangerous than NYC. The rate is around $139/night for a unique. The only drawbacks are that it's often full of business travelers that book far in advance, and that some of the local "workin girls" still do point inside or very nearby.
Nyc Lodging On A Budget, Are There Hotels Near $100 A Night In Manhattan?

We are philosophical about staying in Newark, NJ then crossing the bridge to "do" Manhattan (to save $). Are there any make a clean breast decent hotels in Manhattan right at $100 per night or is that unrealistic. Is Newark a decent state to stay and safe to leave our car for the day?
I would indicate a couple of options:
Staying in Jersey and then coming over by ferry is a very feasible solution that I would make attractive. The only thing is, if you plan on staying out late at night, I would find out what the ferry schedule is like beforehand.
Also, you could head-stay in a bed and breakfast. There are many in Manhattan and there are many outside of Manhattan. That way, you have a very nice place to stay at a good rate.
Also, you could stay in a hostel. Now, I grasp the idea of hostels could be scary, but a friend of mine stayed at one around 103th on the west side and said it was so worthwhile. So, not every hostel ends up like the one in the movie appropriately titled.
Additionally, you could stay at a YMCA or a equivalent place where you could have a room at a very very affordable rate.
Now, onto the inexpensive hotels in NY. Well, there is the EconoLodge which I believe is on 46th between 7th & 6th, so you're in a beeline in the heart of Times Square. It's small, but if you plan on just being in the hotel to sleep, I value it's a great deal. It's clean and the staff is friendly. You'll have no troubles there!
Can Anyone Tell Me Of Any Cat Boarding Areas In Brooklyn Or Manhattan NY?
Sep 27, 2008 by Sarah T | Posted in New York City
Attain November 1st, I have to be out of my apartment, and there's a chance I may not have found a new apartment yet. I'm wondering if anyone know of any cat boarding lodges, where I can pay to have my cats kept there until I find a new people's home. I won't give them up, but have no one who can take them in for me. I need to price some in the Brooklyn or Manhattan areas. Thank you for you help.
Try this set in Park Slope, Brooklyn:
Fifth Ave Cat Clinic
cats only
718 398 1187
225 5th Ave (corner of President Passage)
Brooklyn, NY 11215
We use them as our vet. But I know they do boarding.
Does Anyone Know Of A Very Nice Hotel Or Bed & Breakfast In Manhattan For Under $200/night?

I journey to Manhattan frequently on business. I am writing this from a largely misrepresented B & B in West Harlem. I need to find lodging, in a beneficent part of town, that is clean, comfortable, safe and reasonably priced. Any suggestions?
A tidy, clean, comfortable hotel in a safe part of Manhattan now starts around $300. When you go lower than that, you start to get into bad things. When you go degrade than $200, you really get bad.
My suggestion would be to look at Jersey City and take the ferry to Manhattan or Secaucus ane take the bus.
