So I am coming to Manhattan from Illinois for New Years Eve...and I in the end dont want to go to times Sqaure for the Balldrop because I heard it is so packed and not fun.
I do like clubs though and I found this spot called nyeve.com It list a TON of venues and places that are hosting parties. Does anyone locally be aware anything on these venues on the site?
It's callous to say which is the best...a more proper question would be which is the least bad. Most of them are way too crowded, overpriced and not a lot of fun. From experience your best bet is just picking a task and having a big group go there and take it over. If that is not a possibility then decide what type of scene you want and pick advantage. Some places will be more low-key and out of the way, others will be in midtown and everyone will be wearing suits. Really up to you. Where are you staying?

Where Are The Rudest People In The U.S. (geographically Speaking)? Friendliest Folks? How Bad & Good?

There are people everywhere with adept and bad attitudes, I know; however, in some places, one attitude tends to prevail among people more than another.
-Kentucky...most of it! Louisville (tops), Lawrenceburg, Frankfort, and Winchester take the block! The only exceptions are Murray, Cadiz, Mayfield, and Harrodsburg. Talk about some mannerless, mean-effervescent folks. (I've lived here, I should know.)
-Evansville, IN
-Dayton, OH
-Manhattan, KS
-Illinois
-Detroit
-Northern New Jersey
-California (most of the majestic, especially the large cities)
-Phoenix
Nicer places:
-Texas (except Dallas and the very tripper-oriented sites)
-Alabama (mostly)
-Mississippi (especially Southhaven and Jackson)
-Louisiana (except New Orleans)
-Oklahoma Urban district
-Tulsa
-Corydon, IN
-Tennessee (except for Knoxville and Chattanooga)
-Atlanta, GA...surprisingly
-Michigan (the bucolic areas)
The TOP list: RUDEST folks
The BOTTOM list: FRIENDLIEST folks
Sorry I forgot to spell out both of those.
I credence in the south is the least friendly. The south has a dark legacy of slave-owning. Owning another sensitive being has to be just about the rudest and most unfriendly act!
I've always had a very strenuously time finding any information about Chevy Regencys online. I've ALWAYS wanted one! They are so bad ass! I live in Manhattan, Illinois and was wondering if anyone knows of any eminent places to look to find one. I'm sure Phillips Chevrolet can give me some info.. but any other places would be great.
Also too.... say for a 2009 or newer (when they catch out) what kind of mileage they're gettin, and exactly just how much are they really going for right now?
Thanks so much! Would definitely appreciate it!
there is such inanimate object as a chevy regency is a single cab silverado they are white, red or black with two stripes from the hood to the rear end gate.

K-State's Martin wants more from newcomers
01.12.09
MANHATTAN, Kan. | Kansas Express has played two basketball games at Bramlage Coliseum, and coach Frank Martin focused on improvements after each.

So what if his rig beat Loyola-Chicago and Western Illinois by more than 30 points? Early in the season, conspicuously against outmanned mid-major opponents, Martin is more concerned with the process than the result.

So he called his guards tight-fisted, his post players soft and his newcomers lost.

The Wildcats earned compliments from their mentor by defeating Boston University and Dayton and finishing third in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, but were right back where they started following a 70-57 triumph over IUPUI on Saturday at the Sprint Center.

“The new guys,” Martin said, “they penury to do what they think they have to do and not what they’re being asked to do.”

Even junior big man Curtis Kelly, who scored 11 points and snared 11 rebounds in 33 minutes against IUPUI, was up for commentary.

“His numbers are individual talent numbers,” Martin said. “They’re not numbers that are conducive to what we’re irksome to do as a team. We as coaches need to make him come to us, which right now he’s not doing.”

Martin said he and his coaching wand face that challenge with the majority of K-State’s roster — especially the freshmen — entering tonight’s sport against Division II Fort Hays State.

In order to hold off IUPUI, Martin played Kelly, Dominique Sutton, Jacob Pullen and Denis Clemente — all upperclassmen starters — more than 33 minutes each. Higher- ranking Chris Merriewether came off the bench and played a season-high 18 minutes.

By contrast, freshman center Jordan Henriquez-Roberts, who took the fifth starting spot, saw well-founded six minutes of action, and Wally Judge led all freshmen Wildcats with 15 minutes.

“All our inexperienced guys approached this week like they’d lost their puppy dogs,” Martin said. “It was laborious to run practice the last three days.”

Martin said some of the blame for that less-than-enthusiastic approach level on him, and he vowed to do a better job motivating and coaching them this week.

But he also hopes they learn from the example set by Pullen, Clemente and Sutton. He has steadily praised Pullen and Clemente but was down on Sutton during those first two games at Bramlage Coliseum. Against Western Illinois, Sutton played well-grounded seven minutes.

Against IUPUI, though, Martin at one point reached his hand onto the court to give Sutton a maximum-five for making a tough layup on his way to 14 points.

Martin doesn’t normally show that approachable of enthusiasm toward his players, but…

“I do when they make plays,” he said. “And I do when they don’t mope around and whine. When guys go out and joust, that’s what I’m about.”

Sounds like a blueprint into Martin’s salutary graces.
