Any Idea Where A Hockey Fan Can Watch A Game In A Manhattan Bar/pub?

I only moved to New York, Manhattan from Alberta, Canada. I am a huge hockey fan but I can never find any bars in the city that show the games, unless a New York troupe is not playing. With the NBA and NFL competing with it for ratings its tough. I have no cable so going out is my only option. Any suggestions?

This is a yard goods website for any Canadian living abroad. For yourself there is a New York City section. There is a forum that you can ask your concomitant expats where to go. If I were in your shoes I would check it out. I accessed it and the first thing I saw listed was Hockey Night In Canada. Belongings luck.

Does Anyone Know Of A Good Casual Restaurant/bar In Manhattan?

I'll be in Manhattan for my 23rd birthday and am taxing to find a casual restaurant/bar to just have dinner and a few drinks. Nothing fancy, just a fun, comfy pad to hang out with friends. I'll be staying in the upper west side, so any ideas in that area?

Around the corner from Madison Straight Garden is the coolest sports restaurant/bar. It never gets too crowded, the food is great and the beer is off the track. I, for the life of me, can't remember the name, but as you face the Garden it's down the street on the left, about a block.

This Seems To Be A Difficult Task, Does Anyone Know Of A Hockey Bar In Lower Manhattan?

Looking to await the "Red Wings vs Predators" game this Thursday 4/10/08 at a bar in Lower Manhattan either East or West side. It seems to be a rebuke finding a good Hockey bar in the city.

Here is a apartment in MidTown:

Blarney Rock
137 W. 33rd St.

But rugby and football aren’t really the games of realm of possibilities here—ice hockey takes the cake. Bring your hockey stick, but don’t bother bringing your hold accountable cards—this joint’s cash-only.

What Is The Best Sports Bar In Manhattan To Watch Rangers Games?

I'm looking for a bar where there are a lot of hockey fans who in the final analysis get into the game.

I unusually like The Molly Wee at 30th St. and Eighth Ave. Nice Irish Pub and usually a lot of hockey fans. I also like The Blarney Stone, which is unprejudiced east of MSG at w.32nd St. Fun bar with a good crowd.

If you feel like splurging you could head to Jay Z's 40/40 League at 6 w. 25th St.
