Is It Fairly Easy To Get Into A Cuny Community College (ex: BMCC) With Just Your GED? ?
Dec 17, 2008 by s7977 | Posted in Higher Education (University +)
My number was a little over 3000, and I already submitted an application to a few of cuny's community colleges. I'm hoping to attend BMCC (Borough of Manhattan Community College) and I was a moment ago getting a bit worried if I'll get in. Are there a lot of ppl applying to bmcc, or is it fairly easy to get in?
Any info will be appreciated,
thanks in approach!
So elongated as they still have space available in their class, you should be able to get into BMCC. They will have you take placement tests, to determine what horizontal of math and English you should go into. But beyond that, you're good to go with the GED you have.

oh kay thank you. yes im flourishing for nursing & I want to pick a great school with great surroundings as well.
BMCC doesnt' have a campus. All they have is a b-ball court to the hand where the thugs like to hang out when the weather gets nice. I hate to disappoint you but I figuratively from experience.
Leonard, I was completely honest in what I said. I wouldn't recommend that anyone go to that school. I am not the first to refer to it as a "social gathering school" and I won't be the last. You're entitled to your opinion but I stated facts!
Ok me and my buddy are planing 2 move to nyc and go 2 1 of the Cuny comunity collages and then pass on into nyu but we need 2 know what would be best for us 2 do they have these locations
# CUNY Borough of Manhattan Community College
# CUNY Bronx Community College
# CUNY Hostos Community College
# CUNY Kingsborough Community College
# CUNY La Guardia Community College
we at bottom like Manhattan and would like to be close to Manhattan but the 1 in Manhattan i cant seem 2 find a decent place to live near the campus then there is the kingsborough in brooklyn i have no tip about where to live in Brooklyn queens or bronx so if you guys could please help me on figuring this out thanks. Oh and btw we will be troublesome 2 move in sometime in august our rent will be paid for probably for the first 2 months from our parents in the mean time we would poverty 2 find decent jobs so we will be paying for this together
Hostos is a mockery. Borough of Manhattan Community College has good and bad professors, depending on the major. The professors in english and social sciences are the best. The math professors are the worst. The BMCC campus is located in condescend Manhattan, about a 10 minute walk from City Hall. I don't know much about Bronx Community College but it's not in the best acreage. Kingsborough has a beautiful campus. It is a student friendly school. However, out of all the schools on your list Kingsborough is the furthest away from Manhattan. LaGuardia Community college is iffy. It's very careful to Manhattan. Not the best school, not the worst.

expect poly is a good choice for a number of reasons. First, many NY based companies are aware of this launch. Alumni are generally found at the career fair and they know what we are going through. It becomes an essential networking size.
Another thing I like about it is the fact that students are all aligned towards studying and someone is always aware of something relevant to his greater. My friend told me about scholarships that were even posted on FastWeb and Scholarship.
There is no partying here. This is a very important intermediary for some people but unfortunately you will have to find a way to enjoy talking about discount courses during summers in your major.
nyu is spending greenbacks. They painted all the poly buildings and are investing more in research projects. At sophomore level, you can even utilize for those research positions. I am a teaching assistant there as well.
You can transfer to Stern if you dont like engineering. Its presumably easier to go from within the university system.
