Manhattan Supper Club opened on April 5th 2008 in the sophisticated tradition of luxurious, high style restaurants that reined Main Street in the mid-70s. Recreating that era, Manhattan Supper Club moved into the former home of the famous La Brasserie restaurant and said farewell to the iconic host in Paul Rossi (Owner of the former La Brasserie for 32-years) as he entered his retirement. “Thanks for everything, Paul!”
Going under construction in December 2007, Anthony and Meghan Paduano, owners of the Manhattan Supper Club, embarked on the journey of a lifetime as they set out to build a life-long dream. Together they created something totally unique and unparalleled.
“Meghan Paduano, designed the space in a sleek baroque-meets-old-Hollywood style that defies typical steakhouse masculinity. Hence, you have a bar that wears more Swarovski crystal and animal prints than a 40’s screen siren, and it works.”
Riviera Magazine, June 2008
“It was never my intent to open a “fine-dining” restaurant and it’s comforting to my guests that just because you provide comfort and great service with excellent food, it doesn’t mean it has to be stuffy or that it has to be expensive,” says Mr. Paduano.
Manhattan Supper Club brings visibly charming East-coast style to southern California’s abundant steakhouse community but it’s the food that “clearly stands out” from the rest of the pack, says Chef StephaneBeaucamp. His style “glides effortlessly between fusion and classics” using his über resume of experience to create as much “finesse and ease with tradition” as he does with the contemporary. As a critically acclaimed steakhouse, Manhattan Supper Club also delivers the goods on seafood, poultry, game and all the while sourcing its product from wholesome, all-natural, organic, and local farms and ranches. “While most other restaurants leave sasquatch-sized carbon footprints, anything here that can be organic, free trade, non-irradiated, free-range, biodegradable, recycled, non-toxic or 100 percent post-consumer, is.”
Together the culinary experience combined with the unique and retro ambiance of a stylish supper club delivers a thrilling event whether you’re two or twenty that will leave you “breathless” in the end.
As dinner is served in the dining room (or all of the five dining rooms), the nightlife is served in the lounge. Swarovski crystal chandeliers, a bottom lit onyx-laden bar, cherry wood crafted ceilings and crown molding, and zebra print banquettes all charge together to create the energy and elegance of the rat pack infested supper clubs of yore. “We know how to throw a party and every weekend Manhattan Supper Club is host to a vibrant local community of wine aficionados, bar flies, and fun seekers. The music is a major part of what Manhattan Supper Club delivers so at dinner you might here Hotel de Costes or Dylan and in the lounge you’ll likely here Zeppelin or Tellier.
Don’t miss out on what everyone is talking about. There are plenty of reasons to find out. You can make your reservation here or call ahead to save a table.
